My name is David Curlee and I am a Digital Media Producer.

Over the past thirteen years I have worked for two computer companies that are considered to be the top companies in their respective fields world wide. I’ve owned my own production company and helped launch an insurance agency.

I began my career in 1994 as a contract technical support specialist with Microsoft Corporation where I supported the Microsoft Office Suite and specialized in Microsoft Excel. My experience at Microsoft caught the eye of a manager at Dell Computer Corporation, who asked me to work for them and help start their software support division.

In the fall of 1995, I relocated to Austin, Texas and began my career at Dell. We launched the software support division and grew it successfully for about two years. After that time, Dell decided to cease offering software support beyond the installed operating systems and closed our division. I was offered a position in Dell’s portables division and began supporting all of the Dell laptop computer systems. For the remainder of my tenure at Dell, I grew my technical expertise with computer hardware and customer service.

During those years, I developed an interest in digital media production and began producing print and video content for both traditional and web consumption. In 1998 I was asked to film a short documentary in Romania. I traveled with a team of missionaries and developed a short production that has been used to enlighten Americans to the plight of children living in Romania’s orphanages and Gypsy villages. This documentary lead to other productions and in April of 2000 I decided it was time to launch my production company and grow it on a full-time basis.

Over the next two years, I produced numerous videos, print pieces and websites for individuals, churches, organizations and companies. I also grew relationships with two of my larger clients who became the majority of my business. The first was TouchSystems Corporation, a company that fabricates touch screens and related technologies. The second was Equal Health & Life. As my work with EHL grew and became the vast majority of my production work, they decided to hire me as their Director of Technology and Art Director.

I have been working for Equal Health & Life since 2002 and to say that I’ve “done it all” seems to be an understatement. When I started with them, their technology department was virtually non-existent. Over the years, we took their sales / customer service software from a glorified contact manager to a full web application capable of handling thousands of products and millions of clients.

I helped them create a corporate identity that we took through several iterations and campaigns until we arrived at the perfect brand which we have been marketing ever since. Over the years our product line has grown from medical discount services to full insurance products. Those changes have produced many technical and marketing challenges that we have been able to attack and overcome with great success. As our brand increased and our products changed and grew, our websites followed right along and have kept delivering product information and customer support without missing a beat.

For the past thirteen years, I’ve grown a vast knowledge base in many technical, marketing and creative fields. This experience has positioned me perfectly to fill many needs for small and medium sized businesses as well as municipalities.
